Old Threads Bared

Featured Replies

Interesting to see some of the old threads bumped up (selectively). Saves us rummaging through the archives...

If you've got any interesting ones from other forums, throw the link down here.

In general, I'm not a big lover of rejuvenating old threads. It's like having a conversation with someone...................but they've already left the room :o

I am with BJ on this. Kind of embarassing reading the garbage that sprouted from one's mouth when going off on a tangent of a particular thought pattern at any given moment. :o

So what's changed? :o

Ping: 1 - oldtimers (incl. me): 0

Ah well - it's not serious. Just thought that if someone reads an interesting/amusing thread in another forum (worthy of digestion by Bedlamites) he/she could throw the link in here. The bit about the old threads was more of a throw-away line - someone else is already taking care o' that. No point cringeing over your old flames and trolls - your words of Jack Daniels wisdom will be there as long as TV is... for all to go back and snicker about.

So, no problem; let this sorry excuse for a thread fade away to the bottom of the page to ultimately be lost in the archives. No doubt some wide-eyed young newbie will bump it up again in the future, and we can all read through and have a laugh about how many of the contributors have since been banned, and about how many mods' posts were actually 'normal' (by Bedders standards) before they became mods. (Er, I hope I wasn't out o' line with that comment about 'normal'?)

It is against forum policy to allow links to other forums. The problem is that if you create a link to a forum where you have a nick and can log in but I don't I have to create one to read it. This effectively hijacks our members to other places and is not permitted. If you do make a link one of the mods will have to delete it so please don't because we would have to issue a warning and that is some thing we try to avoid doing especially in Bedlam.

If you see an interesting thread happening else where you can certainly take the idea and create one here - could be interesting to see the different views raised. Different forums tend to attract different characters and have a forum mentality that reflects the members.

I have been finding some of the resurrected threads quite interesting. Some of the topics back then give me encouragement that one day I will be included in the group of "old posters" who sit around and say things like "remember when we used to have real conversations before the place was filled up with newbies who joined after 2004" I think these topics such as "when is it ok to fart in front of your girlfriend" by JaiDee and commented on by almost the entire Moderation/Admin team are the standards to which we can only aspire in terms of subject material. :o

I also think it interesting to consider that some of the current moderating team seem to have displayed all the characteristics of the posters we are now jumping on for "being against the rules of Thai Visa" - perhaps a case of "use a thief to catch a thief"?

enjoy - I am just going to check out the archives. I am sure there must be a thread about the joys of "pulling one's own finger in a restaurant" and where to go for a short time by some of the senior mods here somewhere :D

CB

:D Oldies but goodies. I don't see yall here start none interesting/fun. Here's been quiet and really reserved for PRIVATE :o

I'd better keep digging. Have fun with oldies. :D

It's a shame i cant post links to other forum threads (this one does not require a login to read, but here's the OP

Semen on Geforce 6 6800 Ultra!

Hi,

Umm.. awkward and hypothetical question here, what if... how do I phrase this.. Lets say a "friend" of mine was "pleasuring himself" in the middle of working on upgrading his PC, with the card on the table, he made a "mess" of the card. After the reinstall, the card no longer works, while it was working perfectly before, my "friend" is curious what kind of damage would seminary fluid do to the GPU in question? It was all over the card and on the fan, is it possible the fan itself sucked the fluid into the main GPU and short circuited it? Remember before this card was working 100% and my "friend" observed nothing else out of the ordinary besides the semen.

Advice? can my "friend" return this card? warranty? anything "he" can do to repair it?

It can be googled by "forum post semen on gfx card" - some of the replies are priceless...

:D:o

i've quite enjoyed reading these old threads.

Last week sometime I started up the "Newbies" thread where i suggested we pull up some links to old posts within bedlam, and Legag has gone one better and actually bumped a bunch of them up here.

It's been fun. Sometimes cringeworthy, but fun nonetheless.

In this day and age of superfluousness and mass-quantity, our brains are always on the go, and often some of the things we've posted - aside from being drunk - we just don't remember due to the pure quantity of stuff we read online every day.

So it's a good ol' trip down the lane.

The past catches up with us all at some time...

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

X purposes, CB - I was referring to linking to other threads within TV (perhaps should have said 'sub-forums' rather than 'forums'?).

PS Legag - I don't like your Xmas avatar. Uses far too much electricity! :o
