Silent Night Holy Night In Lamai

Featured Replies

Last night all of Lamai have been enjoying the Thai idea of silent night. The commemoration of the birth of Christ is being used by a certain resort on the northern end of the beach do blare out extremely loud hiphop and techno music until 4.15 am. Althoug i live 3 km away the glass in the windows was rattling on the boom boom all night long. Must be a multi Kilowatt sound system. Thank you thai people for making our stay so pleasant...

Even some thais were using earplugs in the bars around the ladyboxing stadium. Surprised westerners use tissue in their ears, looks very funny. :o

Saw some people leaving when they turned up the volume... I hate noise, love my earplugs.

Why didn't you call the police and complain.

I sure they make them close 2 AM as the law says. :D:o:D

Seems of little use since it's a very big money thing with a lot of construction going on, police is probably involved. Don' know who to complain to..

Yes, that was over the top. Buddy seems to be able to do whatever the xxxx they want, when they want. I believe that they are going to do it again for New Year's Eve.

There is also a beach party on the 27th in the center of Lamai and the only way I can see to get through the night of noise is to attend and get completely faced...lots of sex on the beach (the cocktail, you silly goose!).

Fortunately this only happens a few times a year.
