Would you dare to disagree with parking charges at home??? if you must pay, then pay....10 baht or 1000....
Why keep talking about back home "we do this and we do that". This is Thailand mate!

All the best for the new year. Cheers.

I'm with you mate. A day spent with three kids (and presumably the missus), watching a crappy kids film, eating chicken fat, dragged through the shops and spending 5,500 baht!

I would be really, really pissed too!! :o

And then to have to pay 10 Baht just to leave!! I don't know what to say!!

:D ten baht AND!!! a ten baht tip and the chance to damage his tyres, gearbox or diff and sideswipe something or somebody into the bargain as well as totally ruining the day for the family.

Ten baht is minute in comparision to what would have happened is you lost control of the car. You could have been banged up, liable for prosecution and damages, maybe even personally as some insurace companie's policies are void for certain parking areas.

Jai yen yen is the way forward here.

Neva had to park a car at Jungceylon.

Wot a pack of whingers, 10 baht, about NZ40 cents..... <deleted>.

Many, most malls here are free no matter how long ya stay.

One gives 2 hours free, or ya pay NZ$4.00 - 100 bht per half hour.

I cannot complain, always use scooters when staying in Chalong.

Kiwi Pete

10 baht??

you let your day be spoilt for 10 baht?

city center parking for a whole day for that and you are unhappy, thats amazing

Anyway, have a great new year all........

QUOTE FROM SMARTEECOSSE

Really puts it (10bht expenditure) into perspective and hes Scottish.

*gulp* I go through 200B playing some of those video games on the 2nd floor. Boy, do I feel like a freespending debauched bohemian.

This is ridiculous. There's a RULE in place that meant you had to pay 10 baht -- and it ruined your day? The rule is logical enough. You stay beyond a certain point, you pay for the privilege of using the car park. Why make an ass out of yourself for no good reason?

aaaaahhhhhhhh

but you miss the point

cos he spent more money than other people that go there ( in his perception) he should get the parking for free not have to pay as is CLEARLY stated the 10 baht

its the old "some are more equal than others"

Geeeeeeeeeeeeez, whinging over NZ 40 cents,.

In NZ it would be $NZ4.00...... 160 Baht...... at least.

Most big shopping cetres have free parking, go there.

Get a life, ya know the rules.

Am not angry, just resigned.

Was at Tesco Lotus Foodcourt with the office secretary yesterday afternoon.

Her fried 'Tang Hoon' transparent noodles cost her 60baht when her normal price had been 45 baht. And she says the fruit salad she ordered is not fresh.

My Ramen was still a nice 35baht but a extra order at another stall of KaKi (Stew pork trotters) was a atonishing 130baht.

I think the stall person realised that I am 'farang' and there being a lot of real farangs tourist there,I guess it made it easier to give the impression, that since a black hair asian female orders from her stall, the rest of the farangs will figure that its okay to order from her and her price is reasonable by following my example.

A very expensive example for me.

And so I have spent the past 10-15 minutes reading postings over 10 baht... Mmmm, guys, don't we have something better to do?
