I've only got 80gig on the HD and its nearly full so I want a bigger HD. I have USB 2.0 so should I use an external (and if so, would using the USB really slow it down ?) or should I get something put in the box from Tukcom ?

What about prices / makes etc. and anything I should really look out for or be wary of ?

Thanks.

notebook or workstation? If workstation suggest adding a slave hd inside the box. However if its notebook or can't be bothered entering the box, then grab a hd w/usb enclosure.

When I need more room, I usually 'clone' my existing HD to a new, empty, bigger HD and then pop the case and install the new HD properly. Swapping HD's is quite easy on newer laptops as well. The cloning can be done with minimal hardware (a cable and an external hard drive enclosure) via USB. Then you can format the old HD, stick it in the external HD box and use it for backups. For example, my laptop came 2 years ago with a 80Gb HD, which I cloned to a 160Gb after 1 year. Last month I cloned it again to a 250Gb HD.

I am sure there's geeks at TukCom who have the cloning software and will do it for you or you can probably buy your own software upstairs.
