:o I tried yesterday to post a similar topic but it got lost i think. Hope this one works and someone replies so I know were to start.

We need to travel via US to Mexico is that an additional problem or is transit at airport good enough??

My gf needs a passport and visa and i want to take here on holidays to Westcoast Mexico where I live as 55 y old dutch national with an FM3 passport for Mexico.

She has no job I take care of her she has 2 kids taken care of by her parents/family when she travels with me. Is that a sort of guarantee she will return home after holidays if she would get th unthinkable visa approved.

Simply i wish should could travel land live with me half half Mexico and Thailand.

thanks anyone out there with good advice and tips and tricks if honest no gambling.

Be careful transiting through the US, you don't stay airside any more. You actually have to complete the forms and enter the country through immigration, then exit again even if you are only stopping to refuel.

I went to Costa Rica from Amsterdam this year, in transit through Miami. They made us all go through immigration and everybody had to have a valid visa (or waiver) for the US as well as the country we were going to. So your Thai GF would need a visa for the US as well as a visa for Mexico.

Also, you should realize that a Mexican visa may be as difficult for your friend to get as an American one. The form is nearly identical, and they ask for the same documentation to prove compelling reason to return to Thailand. My guess is that so many non-Mexican foreigners were using Mexico as a jumping off spot for illegal migration to the US, that the US INS probably asked them to tighten up their visa procedures.
