TypicalAnonym Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 The "remember me" setting at forum logon has no affect for me. I have to log in manually every time. Also, is there supposed to be a way to see which posts within a topic I've read? The "goto to first unread post" always jumps to the very last post in a topic. If this is a cookie problem, what specific IE6 setting do I need to change to make this work?

Send an email on here to George or Huski ( or both of 'em ) they'll sort you out.
Wolfie Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Select Tools > Internet Options... from the main menu. Change to the Privacy tab. Adjust slider bar so that cookies are enabled and press the 'Apply' button. (mines normally set at "medium high", 3rd from the top and i dont have problems with cookies) Try that, let me know if your still having problems.
Thetyim Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 The "goto to first unread post" always jumps to the very last post in a topic. Always has done. I complained about this months ago but nothing happened
george Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 We don't do any bug fixings in this version. We are awaiting next release in a few months. It costs us 200 USD to have bugs fixed in this version of the software. I have sent a support ticket to Invision Power Board support team.
Thetyim Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 We are awaiting next release in a few months. Ehh, which version are we using here ? My favourite forum ( sorry thaivisa is number two) is upgrading to version two this weekend.

Problem exists on Medium setting also.
Wolfie Posted September 10, 2004 Posted September 10, 2004 Medium high is low enough for any cookie based ssytem to function correctly. If your still having the problem then something else is amiss. Try clearing down all your cookies and trying again, logging in, closing the browser and then coming back to the forum page to see if your still logged in. To clear your cookeis, do the following... Select Tools > Internet Options... from the main menu. On the General tab (default tab) click the "delete cookies" button, it might be worthwhile clicking the "delete files" button also. Warning: you will loose any information you store for automatic logons for any sites you visit by clearing your cookies, so you will need to re-login when revisiting these sites. If your still having problems when youve done this, post here and i will try to help you figure out whats wrong
TypicalAnonym Posted September 11, 2004 Author Posted September 11, 2004 Thanks, cleaning out cookies fixed it.
