Pong Kwao Hot Springs

Featured Replies

Headed into the woods toward Pong Kwao Hot Springs (50 KM Northwest of Chiang Mai) tomorrow, and was wondering if anyone knew if there was a place to overnight there. All help appreciated.

I'll reply here to close out this topic in case anyone ever searches on it. The hot spring is indeed a very, very beautiful place with clean facilities. Unfortunately, it is one of those places that charges more for Farangs than Thai customers. More for accomodation (tents and cabins quite far off from the bathroom) and also more for massages. We were ready to spend the night there and get a two hour massage for the two of us, but after hearing the price discrimination, decided we would not stay. They lost out on several thousand baht. We would have been the only people staying there today. I'll go back to Pong Kwao Hot Springs once the prices are equal for all customers.
