Surin Immigration Office ?

Featured Replies

Do any of you guys know where the immigration office is in Surin? The officer in Korat told me to go to Surin next time as it is much closer to home ( Buriram) Any info appreciated.

The office in the Surin province is in Kap Choeng, depending upon whereabouts in the Buriram province you are, it may or may not be closer.

Thanks Thaddeus, we are in A.Muang, so quite close to Surin. Any further info much appreciated, phone number, address etc.

Cheers. Fruity

You're right Dave. On my third visit I turned into the wrong entrance!

Actually, if you clink on the immigration and places of interest topic at the top of this page, there is even a picture of it and where it ids in Kap Choeng.

Hi fruity

As a bonus, I find the guys and Gals there, to be very helpful although I cannot compare with other offices.

I once left my newly paid-for Residence letter there and the 'boss man' immediately delivered it to my home in Surin!! What service!! :o I always make a point of bringing that incident up in Convo so he remembers me :D and where we live.

I would assume every Government employee in Surin Province knows where you live!

Do you mean the ones I've had, :bah: or the ones that have had me? :D

Right on Dave, went yesterday, arrived moments before lunch hour was over, a very pleasant girl followed me in & had me sorted & out again within five minutes of arriving. Super service & a round trip of only 160 clicks from home; I'm very pleased:) Takes the dread out of the job for me! Thanks again all for the information.

Travelling south on the 214, about 2/3rds through Kab Choeng, the immigration office (pinkish) is set back off to the right.

Telephone: 044 559 166

Hi in your opinion coming from Lam Plai Mat is it better to get to the immigration office via Prakon Chai or via Surin or nothing much in it?

Regards

Hi Mike, Very easy route; head through Prachonchai on the Surin road , get to Prasat which is approx 35-plus kms, when you come to the intersection / lights, turn right to Kap Choeng, which is signposted,( right turn to Surin) another straight road bang to your destination. Couldn't be easier, no need to go anywhere near Surin city.
