Minor Adjustment To The Tv Format

At the bottom of the page is a 'click' button to skip to next thread.

Could this be put at the top of the page as well? So that if I do not want to view that thread, either because the original subject does not interest me, or the original poster is trolling (in my opinion) or for whatever reason, then I have no need to scroll down to the bottom of the page but can jump to the next thread immediately.

If you understand what I mean :o

See where the ideas factory is - Chaiyaphum farangs ROCK!

(Well, my wife's there at the moment - NBD - supervising the building of her house). I'm still sweating away at Suvarnabhumi, earning the money to pay for it.  :D  :D

You could almost chant it, couldn't you:

Chaiyaphum! Chaiyaphum! Chaiyaphum!

Nong Bua Daeng! Nong Bua Daeng! Nong Bua Daeng!

OK, maybe not, :o but good luck with the house!

Another tip to speed things up, after posting when your post appears on the screen, click on the down arrow next to "back" at the top left of your browser and select "search results-thaivisa". Brings you right back to the "new posts" page and saves you one click and the annoying flood control message since the first click would bring you back to the new post window....

Another request from Mr. Picky:

At the top and bottom of the page of multi-page threads, we have

Pages: (14) « First ... 8 9 [10] 11 12 ... Last » ( Go to first unread post )

Can we PLEASE have a nice BIG "Next Page" and "Last Page" button (just like the "Add Reply" and "New Topic" buttons) as well? Getting the cursor to land precisely on the tiny numbered page link can be a little tricky and time consuming, and irritating when you click the wrong one!

Hey Penzman, this is where "Firefox" and "tabbed browsing" are so much better than IE.

What I do is open the "reply" window in a new tab and when I've seen my reply successfully posted, I kill that tab and automatically Firefox displays the previous tab - which is where the original post was. OK, I then need to hit the "refresh" icon to see my new post added to the original window - but it's just two clicks altogether.

Give it a try, I'm sure you'll love it. :D

OK, here's another request: when going to the "Log On" page, can you make the

"Please enter your name" box, "active". :D

What I mean is, after the page loads, I just want to start typing, I don't want to have to move the mouse cursor into the box and then click once before I start typing, which is what I have to do now. :o

And that reminds me, another thought: the results presented after "View New Posts" is clicked - can we select which forums we're interested in? There are some that I have no interest in, and just don't want their new posts to be listed.

One more little bug, I think: while I am logged in to Thaivisa I appear to get a Topic Subscription Reply Notification for every post to a topic that I have posted to.

I just want one - as specified in the email message itself: "There may be more replies to this topic, but only 1 email is sent per board visit for each subscribed topic. "

Sorry to keep on about little bugs, but I was in the business of debugging other peoples' software for about 20 years, so it's second nature to me PLUS any small bug may have a knock-on effect and be the answer to a much bigger problem elsewhere in the code, so hopefully Invision want to know about it.

So here it is: up until 5 minutes ago, I was always an "anonymous user" reading a topic (at the bottom of the page). I used to see myself listed at the bottom of the page as a "member" many weeks ago, but not recently. Also, I always log in and leave the "anonymous" box un-checked.

So, just now I logged out, logged in and checked the "anonymous" box, logged out and logged in again without checking the "anonymous" box. NOW I can see myself at the bottom of the page as a member reading the topic.

So there must be a little bug there somewhere. :o
