Chinese Embassy Location...

Featured Replies

I have done some searching/reading and would like to ask some questions about the Chinese embassy in Bangkok. But if there is an embassy in Phuket, where I will be most the of time, then I only need to info on the one in Phuket.

I found the address for the Chinese embassy in Bangkok ( 57 Ratchadapisek Road, Dindaeng, 10310) but not sure how to get there. If it is possible to take a train or bus from the main Bangkok area then I would like to know this info. Also, will I need to have my passport photos ahead of time or are there photo machines for this purpose at the embassy?

Thanks.

The Embassy is just North of Fortune Town so don't believe it would be that long a walk from the Rama IX BTS station exit to Fortune Town. Do not believe there are any small shops near the Embassy (very large compound) so I would have the photos with me.

Cool. So I take BTS to Phra Ram 9 and walk a little and I'm there. Thanks. I'll make sure and have the photos before hand.

Not quite right but almost.

Take the BTS to Asoke, then the MRT to Phra Ram 9.

Inside Fortune Town there are many places that can do passport photos upstairs.

Less than five minute walk to Soi3 Rachada, and the Embassy is on the corner.

I need some quick help. I am in the process of getting my Chinese visa and was quoted 4,000 Baht by a travel agent. For an American, 4,000 baht is a normal fee to pay an agent, right? And if anyone knows, what is the price of getting the visa (US) yourself without the help of a travel agent?
