Traffic

Featured Replies

Nice,

I love doing the traffic shots, I think you found a really great place to do this one because of instead of open sky you have more traffic structure. I would like to have seen a longer exposure as well, maybe 15 seconds. It's hard to tell which exposure will make the shot.

That is a super shot.

The skytrain provides an excellent framework.

I think you go the exposure about right, at 3 sec,

it leaves the bus in focus, with just a flare of movement from the back window.

It also froze the pedestrians.

I am puzzled by the streak on the traffic lights, surely they are stationary?

Very good eye there Skippy.

I operated the zoom during the exposure.

Anywhere between two and ten seconds seem to work nice for traffic pictures.

Interesting.

I would not have thought to do that.

Another thing to try. :o

Here is another.

2.5 seconds , f8, White Balance set to around 2800k.

Got lucky... 2 Skytrains got into the frame.

I prefer the colours and content of the first shot.

Both however, are imho, the best two shots I've seen so far on this forum.

Well done.

I prefer the first.

The bus detail and the pedestrian make all the difference.

I agree these are the better shots from this forum, but are they good shots?

I do not think so, yes relatively they are.

But leaving a shutter open fore a few seconds and record some traffic is an old trick.

I think we can do better.

You have the floor Alex, what do you have for us?
