I'm probably in the wrong forum for this but here goes.

I shot this Ferrari 12/13 years ago at a Ferrari exhibition. For years I believed (wrongly) that it was the GTO250 owned by Nick Mason of Pink Floyd. It isn't.

Does anybody know what model the car is?

Tech. Details. Rollei 6006, 80mm lens, Velvia at 100 asa

Apologies for poor quality. Scanned in print as original tranny mislaid.

Thanks in anticipation

I used to attend the Monterey Historic races at Laguna Seca every year.

I think it's a Ferrari P3.

Thanks "PTG" I do believe you're right.

Looking at the history of this car, its one of only three ever made and was sold by Christies Auction house for some 6 million dollars!

Indebted to you.

I think I was at that auction.

Christies has a big event every August during the Monterey Historics/Pebble Beach Concours.

The cars sold here go to museums and collectors around the world.

Recall seeing a P3 and so many other rare cars.

I submit the Monterey car weekend in August is the best automotive event in the world.

Fake and made in Thailand

One of the only three fake Ferraris, which was created here 40 years ago, was the star of the show at the world's first anti-counterfeiting summit in Brussels

A fake Ferrari made in Thailand became the centrepiece of an exhibition in Brussels, Belgium, on Monday warning against the dangers of pirated goods.

The Ferrari P4 - of which only three were made, in 1967 - was made in a backstreet factory in Thailand and is powered by a Subaru engine. It looks like it has just turbo-charged off an Austin Powers film set.

There were only three of these ever built. Each is worth several million dollars. But this is not one of them.

Knocked up in a garage in the countryside using Japanese parts, the Ferrari was about to be shipped to a European client when police confiscated it.

Replicating the original in every visible detail, the car is a startling example of the genius .......................
