Internet Reliability In Neighbouring Countries

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was wondering if there are better international connections available in some neighbouring country of Thailand, like Malaysia, or are all these South East Asia countries dependant on those same "high latency, every now and then destroyed by the anchors-cables". Or "maybe I don't work if it starts raining-cables". If someone has good experiences, please share.

Best Regards

Internet connectivity is pretty good in Malaysia... except when you want to view a Thai website.

in KL it might be good, but all my friends who live OUTSIDE KL are moaning about the internet performance there...... if u REALLY wanna be on the safe side, there is no other option than Singapore.....

NEVER had a problem with my ISP in Ho Chi Minh City...come to think of it, never had a problem with the internet connection at the hotel in Ca Mau province that I lived at for 2 months...

Friends are saying exactly the same. We have to rent a dedicated server from Singapore.

It will probably cost more than the equivalent in the US, but if most of your traffic is coming from this region, it may be worth the extra price.

Hi,

does anyone know how are international connections in Macau compared to Thailand? Any experiences, ISP recommendations etc., would be greatly appreciated.

what kind of speed do you get? I have a friend in HCMC who told me don't bother with DSL because its not faster than dialup. Were you able to get a landline? in your name or is does belong to somebody else - hotel, VN friend?
