Koh Samui/phangnan Solo *mar 15th-apr 1st*

Featured Replies

Hi All, anyone heading to Koh Samui/Koh Phangnan area between March 15th - April 1st give me a heads up. I am doing it solo this year for the first time & looking for anyone keen to meet up. Also looking to book some nice accomodation which is twin share, so anyone keen to split costs (any other solo travellers) more than welcome to let me know! (Will be doing full moon party, and half moon party on 29th)

Perhaps try posting on the thorntree forum on the lonely planet site - it is a bit more traveller oriented. Most of the people posting one here live on the islands.

Good luck!

To be honest, you'll probably do better just meeting people as you travel. There are plenty of solo travellers around and if you arrive early enough (ie a week before the FMP) then you shouldn't have difficulty finding someone to share with either on Khao San road or on the way here.

I do agree sbk...but the first time I travelled I was wary of going on my own, and ended up meeting up with someone through thorn tree and it was great! Knowing that I was meeting someone in Bangkok took a lot of the worry off me. Then once I experienced it and realised how easy it was I had no qualms about going back on my own. Just acted as a bit of a comfort blanket for me I guess at the tender age of 18...
