'Twas a moment of weakness...

What does 'yea verily' actually mean ........ I'm not taking the piss, I am genuinely curious ..... is it anything to do with the latin word for truth?

That must be it is my guess too, but Tiggy will know for sure. I am fairly sure the Swedish translation of that phrase in the Bible is 'Ja, sannerligen', which back translates into English as 'Yes, in truth,'.

'Yes truly' is the modern equivalent. Or 'Yes in truth' as meadish stated. Sorry, I thought this was a well known one. But it is from the AV (King James Version) of 1611 so the language sounds a bit archaic!

Verily, this thread hath exceeded all expectations. King James would be proud(eth).

I've heard there was a secret chord that David played and it pleased the Lord...

Yaaahooooo

I don't really care one way or the other what happens over there. They've all got senior advisers/department heads to keep them (relatively) on the straight and narrow. What I can't fathom is that the pre-election stuff is such a drawn-out expensive process. More to the point, we are being assailed with the daily ins-and-outs of the US campaign trail here in Oz. Why? (Have you noticed how much the US pre-election stuff has evolved over the years in the efforts put into it?

Pity I can't 'press 9' to get a greater depth of local news on the telly or in the papers.

Here in the UK it's the same, we're bombarded with news about Clinton v Obama, never been like this before. Are we interested? No one I know is! Maybe the presidential elections, but the preliminaries? I'm bored with it!

And I think to myself - Halleluyah!

I have just had a great day. Slept late, did Tai Chi for 1 hour 45 mins, nice lunch, shopping for tomorrow, cooked Thai curry and fish dish for the 18 guests I have coming tomorrow. Had roast beef with all the trimmings for dinner, several glasses of red wine and now I'm ready for bed. Life is good! Halleluyah!

Are they her own - you know, real?

...or does she wear dentures? :o

If you need someone to go and find out ? Well...........................OK, if I must. I'll get my coat.

Please sir, can I be the realism checker?

They're real and they're MAGNIFICENT. Hang on, that was Teri Hatcher, wasn't it?

:o It's good to see this thread has become bedlamised! Halleluyah!

Oh ho.....!

Thought I'd inject something Thai into the thread or how 'bout a bit of Vietnamese?

Chai Yai....!

Or getting back on subject.

Halle Blew ya!
