Blood Donors Always Needed

Featured Replies

A few days ago the Red Cross ladies of Chiang Mai held a blood donor recruitment effort at Tesco Lotus Hang Dong Rd, so my wife and I dropped in to find out more.

Donors aged 17 to 60 (not older!) are welcome to call 053 212537, English or Thai, to find out where and when they can donate. Farangs are especially welcome as some of us have groups which are rare by Thai standards.

This is useful since, I think, there is no longer a donor registry in town.

Remember: the life you save may be your own!

What's wrong with "old" blood? Does it wear out? :o

Too many additives MM. ie. Scotch, gin, vodka, etc.

That must put you about 10 years past the used by date. :D

I think this also applies throughout Thailand. I am registered as a A negative blood donor at Red Cross in Bangkok and they have a pool of farangs they call on when they need some of the less common blood types. I have been donating a couple of times per year for the last 14 years

Thank you! That has really made my day :D
