Competition should be good - guess my only worry is whether price competition will really occur - SilkAir's fares from Singapore to Phuket are eye-popping - couple of hundred Sing $ higher than flying SIN-BKK on their parent airline!!!

there prices will be similar to bangkok air ,all it will do is give you a choice of airline and take off time
