Renewing Thai Id Card In Phuket?

Featured Replies

My wife just told me that her Thai ID card expires on the 2nd of March(I know, very early....).

But she is from BKK/Samutprakan and I would like to know if she has to go(fly)to BKK for renewal her ID.

Thanks for your help!

Gerd

Hi Gerd,

My wife too is from Bangkok ( nakon Pathom ) and had her id card updated in Phuket , not sure where but only took a morning bud.

Hope it helps

Hey Gerd,

In the last year or so all the municipal records such as ID, Marriage Certificates, House papers have all been computerised onto a central system that can be accessed by any office (such as Kathu for you) in Thailand , so and copies and renewals can now be made anywhere in Thailand. No need to go to Bangkok or home anymore.

Also the same with vehicle registration & annual tax, no need to apply at the vehicles original registration area, can do at any vehicle office in Thailand.
