I live 65 km southwest of Khampaeng Phet in Klong Lan and I generally get to NS once a month for a big C shop.

Hello,Dave.I live in Chiang Mai now but get to Nakhon Sawan quite a bit as my girlfriend's family is from there,in Mae Wong to be exact.Also have business investment there.Am planning to build house there next year. I would be happy to meet you or any other farangs in Nakhon Sawan.All 5 of them if possible.

I will keep in touch via this forum as I do not know when I will next be in NS.

Thanks for reply.I am always down for beer.I am retired and not very good with computers but I am trying to learn.I just looked at some photos of some wat at Kamphaeng Phet looked very impressive.

J live just outside Klong Lan and KhonWan is on the other side of the Mae Wong park to me. 23 km direct or 62 by road

First, I'd definitely steer clear of riding with Billd766; he has a predelicition for going airbourne in vehicles.

Without knowing how big you're planning, mine is on the smaller side, I could recommend the guys who did mine. They did a good job, a typical Thai concrete beam/block house, but were willing to work with me on specifics.

Yes Ford Rangers can really fly folks.

Mind you it is a a bit tricky driving when the track is only just 2 cars wide and some maniac on a motorcycle is tracking you on the nearly blind spot on the left.

You must be naerly coming back again by now.

I just call it like I see it. I thought I was well into your mirror space! Plus it wasn't that far that I was there; it wouldn't have been that much time if you had gone faster although that would have been even more enjoyable for me since you would have had a bit more Kinevel time.

And I actually had to push my trip back things here are hectic and show no sign of letting up. However, this overtime is padding my cheques quite nicely. I'm actually looking at the week of the 20th July getting back.

Only thing I would say though is yesterday i had to go to hospital for some heart thing.Have accelerated heart or something but doctor says I can still do most everything,but I am not sure if riding in airborne cars is advisable. Just so you know though,I have done same before so no problem.

Dave Boo will be back in a couple of months anyway which should give your heart time to get fixed.

I had a couple of partly blocked arteries several years ago. Had 2 angioplasties and a couple of stents fitted and now I am as fit as any fat 64 year old who does no exercise.

I am okay too not really big problem.I have to have a heart catheter but not right away..The bummer is now I have blood pressure medicine which my daughter who is a nurse says I can never drink beer nanymore which is tragic,although doctor never said anything about this but he didnt really say much about anything.

I have to go back to US in August for a visit but I am hoping to get to Nakhon Sawan in September.I will keep in touch and hope to see you guys then.

The heart doctor said that I can drink in moderation and viagra was OK too (but dont tell my wife)

Then she says never take viagra ofr anything like that but really I don't want to even discuss this stuff with my daughter,although I did always hear that stuff was bad for your heart.

Not to worry though Bill. I promise not to tell your wife about viagra if you promise not to tell my daughter about beer.

Part of my age problem is selectivity.I am selectively blind and deaf when the time calls for it.

Khonwan i can tell Bill is good hearted as are you and Dave.I have to say though I have written to the Chiang Mai forum today and some of the replies people sent seemed very strange and I would say obnoxious.This was not always the case as there were also kind and helpful people,but one guy was talking about "psycoliogical" problems of tourist police.Anyway everone in Nakhonn sawan seems nice and good hearted so i am looking forwarde to getting down that way for good.

Things are a lot more laid back in Nakhon Sawan; most every expat that I've met there live in the area for exactly that reason.

And colonelsing, if you PM me a phone number I can have my old lady (I can safely say that since she's got two months on me!) will SMS some pics of the house to give you an idea of what I mean as far as small is.
