Rubber Motor Mounts

Featured Replies

Has anyone thought about adding them to the CBR 150R? It looks to be a simple enough affair for the front mounts, since they can be moved on the frame itself, but the rear mounts, where it looks to have the most sturdy contact (and by logical extension where the most vibrations are transmitted) are a bit more tricky. I'm getting a bit tired of the buzz in the handle bars and pegs above ~8 000 RPMS and would like to get the bike into more of a civilised machine.

I don't know the bike so can't really comment, but maybe another option is to isolate the bars and pegs. I had an aprilia rsv-r that caused me major problems, especially on the track. I was using after-market clip-ons which were hollow aluminium, so I filled them with lead. Had an engineer friend do it, simply capped one end, heated the lead and poured it straight in. I was so impressed I still have them, despite one being bent from a spill

If you can rubber mount it that would help!

Also if you can find the soft cushion type handlebar grips you're hands won't fall asleep. Problem is finding the grips in Thailand.

You will probably have to modify the rubber mounts off another bike, but it should not be difficult to figure out how to mount it(providing it is not off 1000 cc engine)
