I'm interested in buying sterling silver in Thailand and selling it to stores in the US. Does anyone here have experience? There are sterling silver shops near khao san that sell 30k baht per kilo. I'm sure there are better prices than that. Is it really worth it? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have some Polish customers that among other things buy and sell silver from Thailand, they seem to throw money around like it's worthless so they must be doing well.

I will ask them next time they come to see me and I will find out where they by from.

One thing you will need to be careful in the US about is the alloy. "Sterling Silver" is 925 fineness .. which means 92.5% silver alloyed with coppor or other metals. Silver in the US may need to have a hallmark stamped. I'm not sure what purity Thai silver is.
