I have run my own busines for more than ten years, It's a training consultancy. Sorry mate, I thought you knew that. I did open a business with the same name in Thailand which gives me some flexibility for when I get there but I'm trying to get the financial cushion that I don't have to!

Hi Boppers.

Well, when we met, I was Rock'n'Roll, dope smoking, coke snorting prolificly shaggin', fun-lovin' mofo from outer space.

I've now got myself settled back in the UK, following a decade of madness, got a job running a (mostly) peaceful bar for a "revered" 200 year old debating society, have myself a bit of french crumpet on the go for over a month now. Although I've been looking and slowly acheiving a bit of a more peaceful lifestyle, her presence in my life is seriously making me think about changing my ways that little bit more. I like the bird, you know. Thinking babies and sh`t.

The job's going well. The Cambridge Union Society is a dump, and the kids who "run" it are a joke, but it's probably a good place for me to be, as I imagine m,any good connections can be made here. And as any expat worth his salt knows: It ain't what you know, but who you know.

I get to totally dominate the bar, which I enjoy. No head office, no rules but my own.

Other than that, still trying to cut down on drinking.

Generally, I'm doing okay, but ol' habits die hard.

Thats great news, Kayo! Been concerned here and there about ya, so I am glad hear you're finding place back home. I think you being able to run the bar goes along way to your happiness, at least I will know how to look you up if I get to the UK. Have to talked to the lady about some of these ideas you got for the future? Hope she is thinking the same.

It's nice to see how everyone is doing. Good thread Bops. I've been basking on the sunny shores of Nakhorn Ratchasima for awhile and now back in the states. When in Thailand I do not have much time to post or even read. Now that I have time, I realize I have nothing to say. So I will be happy reading amusing Bedlam posts while rearranging my sock drawer.

I am sorry for your family's suffering. My wife worries about the same thing right now as Mom is having some heart issues, but a door closese and one opens new life comes and continues. Best your family!
