What do you guys think is a good area to live and work in, in bangkok? Somewhere not too expensive, and with decent nightlife and transport links (i will not own my own transport)

if it's a teaching job than first find it and settle down close to it - travelling to/from work through the town is not fun in bangkok. Nighilife is from time to time and because there is not much night public transport, you tend to take taxi.

Good place to work is where you get to do what you love and make loads of money.

Good place to live is near to where you work.
