just curious- i noticed a few companies have been aggressively promoting their broadband internet services on phangan, and now there are more places which offer wi-fi, either in a common area or in-room.

would love to have a list of the places you know of! either houses for rent or bungalows!

-Pen's Bungalows on Thong Nai Pan Yai now offers wi-fi in their restaurant

-Havana Beach Resort on Thong Nai Pan Yai offers wi-fi in room

-Buakao Guest House in Thong Sala offers wi-fi in room

-Garden Lodge in Ban Tai offers wi-fi in room

There are more than hundred places where you can have a free internet. Ask for at http://www.ichiwawa.net/

well i am more interested in a list of people who offer wifi in room. so i can take a couple days and go stay elsewhere on the island if i want to.

There is a lady in Ban Kai who rents houses out with internet, behind the supermarket, opposite the Surow (just after the sharp bend where Adam's motorbike shop is). Not sure if she'd do a couple of days or not tho. You could try First Villa, she might have it.

ha, i used to live there. she has internet now? it wasn't possible to get it there before! i'll add that to the list. doesn't anyone know of other places with wifi? i figured i could go stay at other beaches occasionally and catch up on work.

Charm Beach, on the bantai rd have cyberpoint wifi.
