Need Guidence

Greetings,

I currently hold a visa and workpermit that expire end of year for one company. I have opened my own consulting company with my Thai wife (legal marriage) and want to get the same under this company by year end.

I have lived and worked in Thailand with visa and workpermit since 1995 for variuos companies and have not had to leave for a new visa since then. Most companies have been BOI approved.

My question is what is the best way for me to get a visa and workpermit under the new company which I hold 49% of, currently has 2 employees, has been opened for 10 months and has had income and paid relevant taxes as required by Thai law.

I have heard that a consulting company is treated differently and that since I have paid taxes, married to a Thai (for 7 years with two kids) I have many options.

Any insight to what I should do would be appreciated.
