Hello,

Moving up north. Would appreciate any help with the following:

Weather Report; Is it HOT like the South?

Land for sale away from beaten path, in hills/mountians with no neighbors.

Thanks

Back then we were lucky with chiangmaihouse.com. From perusing recent offerings, jasminehomes.co.th seems to have the best offers now, as well as the most professional website. You can even pinpoint properties in Google Earth.

Nope. I lived in Bangkok before. It's usually a few degrees cooler here, especially in the winter.

If you are happy with little infrastructure around you, there's plenty of that. However, land in the hills rarely has chanote title deed.

Cheers, CMX

Weather Report; Is it HOT like the South?

Well, it's still hot yes.

The long answer is that it's less humid year-round, that the nights especially are cooler, that it actually gets COLD at night in December-January, that it's HOTTER in March/April (though still less humid), that it's also very DRY in Feb/March/April.

So overall I think the weather is much better, though if you arrive fresh from Canada or something into either Phuket or Chiang Mai, chances are you will feel pretty much equally balmy.
