Yahoo Mail

Featured Replies

Is it just me or is anyone else experiencing similar probs? For the last couple of days I have not been able to access my yahoo mail account. I get as far as entering my name and password and that's about it. Any ideas?? :o:D

I've had problems recently with none of the buttons (compose, reply) working. Something up with Yahoo?

no problems for me....

but i had problems with true and their caching for some other sites.

Change your proxy settings and see if you can access OK from the proxy.

Try this IP 210.178.24.2 and port 3128..

you can change the proxy settings in Internet Options, Connections.....

check that you are not blocking pop ups!

better to download new browser - firefox.... it really is MUCH faster!

apppleman thai,

I did as you recommended and changed the proxy settings..am now getting an error message 999 "unable to process your request at this time, try again later, apologise for any inconvenience"

There must be something up with Yahoo mail...a bit strange that they haven't been able to rectify the prob..now day 3. :o

My flatmate has been having problems with Yahoo for the last couple of days, I think its a broader problem.

try to access it from another browser..... firefox for example.

Make sure you set the proxy for the dial up connection that you are using in the case that you have more than one dial up connection....

what ISP are you using?

Again, I've had no probs with yahoo today and I use ADSL with TRUE.

Appleman thai,

I'm on Asianet dial up ..I have no problems connecting to any other page on the net, just Yahoo mail.

Sorry, I am crap when it come to computers/software etc so you're going to have to baby feed me through the steps :D I changed my proxy settings IP and Port to what you typed above...shouldn't I have done that?? :o

yeah... thats OK.

But like most things in Windows there are a number of different ways you can do the same thing!

So check this :

Open internet explorer. Click on Tools, Internet Options and select the Connections tab.

Next in the dial up box click on the connection you use and then click on Settings.

In the Proxy section click on the tick and then the IP address and port that I gave you.

Then disconnect and logon again.

Try to access yahoo mail then.

Okay, tried everything you said but sadly still no joy...Thanks for your help all the same :o

It's a probem of access from asianet-true dns resolving. You must go through proxy: try this one: proxy.bezeqint.net port 8080. It's working for me,I hope it can work for you too. Good luck.

Doi Thong,

Looks like you're correct! :D Just tried to access Yahoo mail using another ISP and got through no probs! Cheers for that :o

Good to hear that. Anyway is a shame that we pay money for those clueless "internet providers"..at least we can help each other in solving their "configurations".

If you get the 999 message try clicking on the secure mode link and log in again, seems to work everytime for me in secure mode.

I used to use Yahoo Messenger all the time for the free SMS capability to AIS. Unfortunately it has become totally unreliable and I've had to go with a paid service on ipipi.com. That works instantly.

Probably an issue of "free" vs. "paid". Money talks, free walks. :o

Strange, no problems for me during this period. I have 2 accounts with Yahoo, and both have worked fine, no hiccups and very good speed. Using True (Asianet) ADSL, no proxy, normal login, blocked popups, Opera. What I did change was my DNS server, to Samart's, since True's was giving me problems a few months ago.

As I told you it was about DNS server, maybe Opera is better option also. God knows...we all in the magic hands of Bill the creator and his Thai followers...:-)
