Considering buying a new pick up, would be interested to know what petrol pick ups are available, as the price of fuel is high now and unlikely to drop, so I'd like to convert to gas. Do the D-Max or Vigo come in petrol? If so how is the power with the petrol models?

I've hired a 2.5 non-turbo Vigo and a 3 Turbo Vigo, the difference in power was incredible, but so was the fuel consumption.

Petrol Vigo has been discontinued, I believe.

You can convert diesels to either NGV or LPG but it would cost more, I was told 50k for LPG conversion vs 35k for petrol.

Chevrolet Colorado is supposed to have a model that runs on CNG+diesel mix natively.

Thanks for the info. I thought the LPG conversions where much cheaper, more like 18K for petrol. Although I don't know about diesel.

18k conversion is not meant for vvti engines, you can still do it but the engine WILL backfire from time to time. Really not such a big deal, there are ways to minimise the damage - taxis don't mind, for example, but I wouldn't do it a nice new engine and warrantee certainly won't cover any damage.
