60 + 60 Days Possible?

Featured Replies

I am from the UK and aged 37. I want to know is it possible to spend 60 days in Thailand, leave and spend say a fortnight in another country, then return and once again spend 60 days in the kingdom? Or does the 90 out of 180 days rule kick in?

The reason is because I want to spend the 4 winter months in Thailand!

The 90 days in six month only applies to visa exempt entry (30 day stamps). You are always free to use visa entry for stay and there is no requirement to be outside of Thailand for any period of time.

A double-entry tourist visa is what you need - 60 days permitted on each entry. Each entry can also be extended for an additional 30 days (for a total of 90 days per entry) without leaving Thailand. A double-entry tourist visa should be easy to obtain in the UK.

Thanks for the info, I now see that what I need is the 6 month validity, 2 to 4 entry tourist visa.

When you enter immigration, is there a need to show a plane ticket out of the country? I have been before and happened to have an on-going ticket both times, but I can't remember if I was asked to show it at immigration.

It is not normally asked for - especially if you have a visa.
