A draw!!!

Collingwood manage to turn victory into non-victory in typical style after leading for most of the day.

Both teams and 100,000 people back again next week for another go!

AFL management cracking the Bollinger in celebration of the bonus gained by having two Grand Finals.

My Pakistani mate reckons the game was fixed..............:D

Nothing would surprise me. Wouldnt of happened in my day, in my game......we were too busy trying to kill each other on the field. Plenty of biffo, not much $$$$.

I'm ashamed to say how little I was paid in my professional career. I played in the wrong era. :(

^^ It was a different game back then oldcroc, it was more about love of the sport, mateship, beers, biffo, ladies and just living the life. $$$$$ only came to mind when you were out of them and it was ur turn to shout.

Rugby Union was amateur (!!??)inmy day. League was paid and you could never cross the line from League to Union.

Bu amateur I mean 'not paid'. We, being a major club, had use of our own bus. But still took it in turns to take the kit home and get it washed. Mums were wonderful in those days.

Like many, I was employed by an understanding firm. John Mowlem (whose name you can see all over Twickenham) employed me as a civil engineer when I left Uni., and gave me time off for training and travel. Very good employers, good construction company too.

But I was on little more than apprentice wages, so a pint of mild used to see me through the evening. Started at tenpence a pint, but was over a shilling in my heyday. And on two pound ten a week that was an expense! How I envied those fully qualified MICE guys who were pulling down a thousand a year.

Ockors in Brisbane cannot spell, BEER, hence XXXX.

Now they have more trubl............

It was an "L" of a bad day for the signwriter who took care of a "pollice" car.

A photographer noticed the patrol car, based at Brisbane's city division, had an extra 'L' in the "police" sign written across the driver's side.

The back driver's side door was damaged and replaced recently, which is when the transfer with the extra 'L' was mistakenly added.

POLLICE........ hehe

Received this e-mail yesterday, from a friend from Melbourne :

Hi young man.

Glad to hear you are OK.

Glad that you are mixing with some cultured Australian gentlemen for a change.... at least we are good sports and let the other teams win so that they dont get depressed.

Keep well and happy.

All the best to yu.

Rgds r

My reply was obvious :

I have never seen the words 'cultured'; 'Australian' and 'gentlemen' in the same book before, let alone the same sentence. :D;)

Great laffs from their dad, Fred Dagg.

Pies 108 - Saints 52.

:(

Sounds like a real ass-whoopin

The underwhelming Saints......... sniffffff

Pies 108 - Saints 52.

:(

That's one way of scoring it.

Magpies outscored the Saints 2-1 in points

Magpies outscored the Saints 6-1 in tattoos

Magpies supporters outscored Saints supporters 60,000 - 3 in tattoos

Magpies supporters outscored Saints supporters 20,00 - 0 in criminal records.

So, all-in-all, a definite score for the Flagpies.

The magpies appear to be wearing prison stripes.

Is there some significance there?

Living up to their reputations:

Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault reportedly involving Collingwood premiership players hours after the Magpies' AFL grand final win against St Kilda on Saturday.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman confirmed police were investigating an allegation of sexual assault in South Melbourne early yesterday.

Collingwood has confirmed the two of its players have made statements to police about the incident.

I see that the 'Pies have signed up another player, who did eighteen months a couple of years back.

And his old man did about six years.

Collingwood are up to their usual tricks.

They want to get Tarrant back, now that he has regained form, for nothing, after selling him for a fortune a couple of years back.

HOORAY !!!!!!!!!!

Commonsense has prevailed.

Thank you, guys.

There are a few rules, however.

No attacks on whingeing poms - especially when England beat that other lot in kiwiland this weekend.

Zpete, Harcourt, OC and others are fair game, but don't even think of commenting on those bludgers in the mod-box.

Can't find a telecast anywhere, though. SH*T!

(Thanks to CDNVic for looking into the matter)

The Mod Squad was a good TV show.

After all that, nobody`s using the topic

The only two Aussies who can write are preparing excuses for their defeat by England.

The one that can read as well has fallen asleep over his stubbie.

With no explainations forthcoming as to why it was closed in the first place it's a little hard to know what paramaters to work within.

Ken doesn't drink.

For the first time in about three decades I'm not really looking forward to an Ashes series.

The big money has kept some old timers around for too long, and a conservative selection policy over the last 5-8 years has meant that Australia's talented youth have dwindled on the vine.

Is that a good enough excuse for our upcoming defeat?

Perhaps we could even it up by fielding a combined side also?

How about Aus/India against the England/South African team?
