Hiya All. Just a quick question,can anybody tell me the Building Thai Law,for the distance a 4 floor Condo has too be away from a boundry??.Some say 1 meter for 1 floor,2 meters for a 2 floor,and 3 meters for 3 floor and above.Where can i find out the correct information.

Somebody must know this information,

you can find it out for yourself, just go to the tessabaan offices and ask.

It can be as close as you like to the boundary wall. But you will have to pay a "fee" for every centimetre less than the legal distance!

Well I just looked out the window and if the fence is in the right place a 4 story building (10 years old) can be about half a mtr from the boundary fence.

Im afraid i cant answer the OP, but as stated above, if you head down to the Tessaban they can give you the facts.

And dont believe those that say the rules dont matter. They do, and you can have the construction stopped if the building is illegal. Too many foreigners are ignorant of the country we live in.
