Many thanks in advance :o

I always stay there - rooms vary from very basic (abotu 300 baht a night) - clean bed, cold shower.... quite rustic to luxury (haven't seen these ones yet) with A/C minibar and sat. TV.

I'll fess up and say that I know the guys running - so I am a little bias, but objectively, this is a great place to stay. If you are looking for a "resort" then this is not it - no pool or room service, but most going to ko toa are not into that.

The restaurant is one of the most popular on Ko Toa, and the staff are legendary - brilliant guys (and a couple of gals) - very friendly, helpful, funny etc. And the grub is excellent - proper farang grub if that is what your after, and real mccoy thai food too.

Diving - Hayden & Luke Run / Own the place. Spot on blokes - diving prices are the same everywhere you go, but these guys are so easy going and down to earth - no pomp or ceramony, just a good time to be had by all.

Honestly, I have never heard anyone say anything bad about the place - its right next to the 7-11 for much need icecreams etc., right in the middle of the beach too..... 110% recommended.

*note - I'm heading over soon, but I'm bringing my parents with me (my wife is thai) - the palce is more geared up for a younger crowd, so if you are looking for something sophisticaed and smooth - this ain't it*
