One Man Arrested in Bag Snatch Attempt

At around 2:00 on Saturday morning police were called to the area near Soi Kor Pai in south Pattaya where a 17-year-old Thai male had been caught after attempting to steal a handbag belonging to a 29-year-old Thai lady who was riding as a pillion passenger on the back of a motorbike driven by a foreign male.

The pair were followed by two Thai men on a motorbike and one of them had snatched the woman’s handbag. The foreigner reacted quickly and chased the pair down, causing their motorbike to crash. One of the thieves ran off into the night while the other was detained until police arrived.
