All helps with the England hosting the World Cup bid, etc,etc. I wouldn't expect Beckham will be made captain when Capello makes the final choice before the nex tmatch. The betting seems to favour Ferdinand or , gawd forbid, the disabled parking bay misuser, i.e. Terry. Then there's Gerrard or Barry on the maybe list. Can't really think why Gerrard has been so overlooked for the job - he'd still be my choice.
