Residential Water Pump

Featured Replies

As promised. My setup. My trade is rigger in the oil field so plenty of hands on experience with pipes & pumps.

My first 2 pumps were top of the line Mitsubishi 400 watt (no tank or pressure switch).

After the second one wore out I went with this.

It's on a timer - which runs twice a day for an hour per cycle.

And fills this storage tank which is about 800 liters. It's made of plastic - not sure what kind. I have had the tank over 20 years with no algae problems etc. It has a float valve to stop filling once it is full.

That Furnas pressure switch isn't doing anything at the moment. Left over from my old system.

This new pump is 2 pieces. The controller threads into the outlet. It has lights to show condition & will not start if there is no water in the suction. Very happy with it. Very powerful & much more quiet than the old Mitsu.

Apart from the upturned flower pot holding up the Sanyo pump it reminds me of a North Sea Oil Rig.
