Man arrested with loaded firearm in front of his Girlfriends Apartment in Central Pattaya.

Just after 10pm on Wednesday Night, Police Major Witaya from Pattaya Police Station arrested a Thai Man who was spotted carrying a gun on the Sukumvit Road in Central Pattaya.

Police quickly arrived and arrested Khun Surasit aged 20 who was indeed in possession of a loaded firearm. The initial call was placed by the suspect’s girlfriend who was afraid that he may use the weapon to harm her.

Khun Surasit who was arrested in front of his girlfriend’s apartment explained that he was only carrying the gun for his own protection and did not intend to use the weapon to harm his Girlfirend but only wanted to speak with her on the street. Khun Surasit was charged with carrying an unlicensed weapon in a public place and is due to appear in court early next week.
