Is there anything I can do to help increase her chances in getting a US non-immigrant (tourist) visa?

We have been friends for over 6 years. She just wants to stay there for about 10 days.

Does it help or hurt her chances if she says that she has a friend who lives in the US? Someone actually told me that it's better for her not to mention me in her interview.

Should I go with her to her interview?

Is it better for her to say that she will be staying in a hotel or at a friend's house?

In my experience dealing with this over the past few years it has always come down to one question with the embassy.

Does she have an obvious and strong compelling reason to return to Thailand? If she can't convincingly answer positively to this question then everything else is irrelevant.

Unfortunately too many Thais (since this is Thai forum) have not returned from the USA while on their tourist visa and have made it very difficult for others (especially poo-yings) who honestly want to visit and return.

Same old crap...dishonest people abusing privileges and making it harder for the honest people.

Good luck!
