Pattaya Police seize 1,000 Yabba Tablets and arrest suspected drug dealer.

On Monday Afternoon a press conference was held at Pattaya Police Station to demonstrate the hard work currently being undertaken by the Narcotics Unit to clear Pattaya’s streets of drug users and dealers. Police Colonel Nopadon, the Chief of Pattaya Police presented Khun Prasit aged 35 who was arrested at the Car Park of Building A at View Talay 1 Condominiums in Jomtien.

The target was lured to the location by an undercover officer posing as a drugs buyer who promised the suspect that he would purchase a large amount of tablets from him. Khun Prasit soon arrived and handed over 1,000 Yabba Tablets in exchange for 140,000 Baht in marked bank notes. Following the transaction, Police moved in and arrested the suspected drug dealer who was taken to Pattaya Police Station.

The suspect’s car was also seized as evidence. He is now facing serious class 1 drug dealing charges when he appears in court later this week.
