Accident At Chalong Circle

Featured Replies

Apparently there was a pretty serious incident near Chalong circle last night. To quote my friend who messaged me he said "Some local guy was chasing another guy with a gun and then he jumped into a pickup truck and tried to get away at full speed. He smashed right into a minivan packed with tourists and a few were killed." I think it happened sometime late last night.

Does anyone no anymore about this or can provide a link, I don't really know where I should be looking for Phuket news

i would have thought that it would have been reported by now if it did happen?

Yeh me too. Maybe the story was exaggerated or something. My friend was told by someone else who apparently witnessed it, so I don't know. I guess it will come up if anything happened. thanks

If tourists where killed or injured, they will try there best to keep this quite from the media

If tourists were killed or injured, it will be headlines - not the sort of thing Thai authorities can keep from the media.

If it involved a "big boss" or his henchman, then it very well could be kept quiet, especially if a tourist was not involved and it was a turf battle.

Still no traffic lights working?

I don't think so, you have to have an organised system to do that ! If it happened it WILL be reported. :o
