Just wonder what are good places to buy fishing gear? We are about to buy a boat so we will need to have some basic fishing gear (nothing really professional expensive stuff but purely for lazy/leasure fishing from weekender powerboat).

Any advise is highly welcome

PS I visited a couple of shops in Singapore but I assume anything is much more expensive here in SG vs LoS (?).

Thais have lots of fishing shops around.. I know my old man was buying 'something garcia' brand reels here for a fraction of their UK price. Shop on Nanai Rd had lots of basic stuff.

Supercheap of course for the 'super cheap' options..

I think around Rawai on Viset rd. Also a small shop in Kata. opposite the post office and next to the ais/phone card store. no sighn. it is conncected to a small Thai restaurant.

There's a good tackle shop next to the Flints-One (Flintstone) Bakery in Chalong.
