Seven Metre Long Python Causes A Stir

7 meter long Python causes a stir in Central Pattaya street.

Just after 8.30 on Thursday Night, there was a power cut in Soi Town-in-Town Hotel, off the Central Pattaya Road.

This would normally not make the news, however when electric company technicians arrived at the scene to rectify the problem, journalists were called-in. The technicians identified the problem as a blown transformer located near a Wine Merchant located half way down the street.

When they approached the transformer they spotted a 7 meter long Python entangled around the transformer which sustained burns but was remarkably still alive. E

ventually one brave technician placed the Python inside a bag and took it to a local Snake farm. The power was quickly restored to the street and life returned to normal. However, local residents were left puzzled as to where the Snake had come from which remains a mystery.

The snake in the picture appears to be about half the size of the snake in the prose.

At the most :o

It's not like men to boast about the size of the snake that they are holding :o

P.O.N. must be congratulated, a marked improvement on reporting, IMHO it must be 6m at least, and when I read the posts header I thought it was going to be about a 7" (inch) snake.

BB

It must have been an escaped pet.

It's highly unlikely that a wild one would make it that far into Pattaya without being killed.

My nestdoor neighbour came across a 7m reticulated python in one of his fields last week.

He was very proud to say that he wrapped a bannana leaf around its head and released it in the nearest woods as was the old Thai style.

"Now-a-days", he grumbled, "farmers know nothing and kill all snakes".

Owen.

Ooh yeah, I saw this on the news, yikes!

I live on Sukhumvit 77, Bangkok... a Python came into my yard and ate my rabbit once... No kidding.
