Burma Visa Run

Recommended Posts

Is it safe to go Burma (Mae sai) to get 90 days mre to stay in Thailand

i have non immigrant visa 1 year  do i get in there that 90 days??

Chiang mai to Burma round trip with all service how much?????

????????

not sure what you are asking, if you already have a valid and current 1 year non-imm, and it is still valid when you go to Tachalek , then when you return over the bridge, from Tachalek, you will be stamped into with a new 90 day stay..... provided all else is legal... you should be ok for another 90 days..... I take it mre is a typo for "more" ..... not meals ready to eat..... or multiple return entry....

Price from some of the private groups w/ van from the 600 B range to 1000 B and you can have a tour on the north and lunch included...... Hope this helps a little

Don't forget to count the 250 baht or US$5.00 for Burma entry not included in the above

crossed over that little bridge last week..... the immigration official, (jumped up little hitler) would only accept $5 US, he would not take any baht. I had to go back and get $5 from a Thai bank

I think it's a case of if he doesn't like the look of you he will demand US currency :o

Take $5.... and don't buy any porn cd's from the touts on the Burma side :D unless

you like to look at a blank screen :D

You've made it all the way to Thailand and then found yourself in Chiang Mai.

Hmmmm....If you don't know whether to go to Mae Sot or Mae Sai then flip a coin.

Or be a little adventurous and just take off to one of the places on the spur of the moment. It's no real big deal whichever place you choose. :o

My mate went from CMai to Mae Sai and returned in one day on a Honda CBR150. Now that it's not the rainy season, it might not be bad (not too cold yet, either), but that's a long ride in one day. Wouldn't try it on anything smaller than a 125, though. My Michelin map of Thailand says it's 203 km from CMai to CRai and then 62 km more to Mae Sai, a total of 265 one way. Same map says 378 to the Mae Sot border.

Not sure where you park the bike in Mae Sai - maybe just to the left of the bridge.
