September 11, 200817 yr A couple of weeks ago I dropped into a thread that I had seen a mini bike, kinda like a KSR clone, with a 'mini monsterish' ladder frame.. I had no idea what was, it just buzzed by and had a red plate, I speculated the red plate may have been a pony plate as I know a dealer down here that offered that as a bookless solution to get insurance / tax / ride without a book and figured, new odd bike, might have been 'unoffical import'. Well I happened to see it again and it turns out its the Sachs X-Road.. I didnt guess that initially as I thought the X-Road was a full size bike from its pics and its really another 2/3rd size machine akin to the KSR. Too small for my lump thats for sure. I have no idea on quality or performance, only pulled along side it.. Looks funky and fun but would need to be substantially cheaper than the KSR to appeal due to parts, tuning, build quality worries. First one I have seen on roads, wonder if they are going into Patts and other channels ??
