Visa app b or ed

Featured Replies

Two things here   (UK):

(1) London will not accept postal apps, and does not accept cheques for apps in person.

Does anyone know if the regional Uk Consulates accept cheques with Postal apps or insist on Postal Orders?

(2) I am coming out to do TEFL course and hope to find job teaching afterwards.

I have a course arranged OK but no job yet.

I Have a letter from the school stating that I am attending their course and the relevant dates, the letter also states that the school understand I will also be seeking a position as a teacher in the area after the course.

Am I wasting my time asking for a Non Imm B?

Should I ask for Non Imm ED and change later when arrange Job?

Thanks.

The small consulates are better to deal with. It rings a bell....  thy the consulate in Hull.

Only if the school is recognized by the Ministry of Education, you can get a NON-ED.

The school has a Thai Ministry of education Licenses

But presumably the Non Imm Ed would not let me work afterwards?

No, to work you will need NON-B and subsequent work permit.

Go for (a multiple) NON-B visa from the beginning, and you don't need to change it later.
