What is the maximum penalty for not doing 90 day reporting? If I was supposed to report on 3/9 and went in today is it possible the office would forgive me and not fine me? I'd also be interested to hear from others that don't report at all.

Thanks I'd already read that topic. The non-reporting is interesting, I normally don't go to a the same office to the one that does the extension. There is no stamp for the reporting, but I'm guessing it goes into a computer?

Correct your passport is not stamped for a 90 day report, just a bit of paper stapled in. On the computer thing, not sure of this one, as know of people who have missed their 90 days report, fine is applicable and they have gone out through the airport, no hassles, comeback in to Thailand, 90 days starts again at the end of the 90 days... report on time and nothing has been said by the immigration and havent been fined...

That does seem to be the norm, but it can be higher. :o

See the Immigration Act

competent official at the Immigration Division , in writing , concerning his place of stay , as soon as

possible upon expiration of ninety days. The alien is required to do so every ninety days. Where there is

an Immigration Office , the alien may notify a competent Immigration Official of that office.

Section 76 : Any alien, alien, who fails to comply with the provisions of Section 37(2),(3),(4)or(5) shall be

punished with a fine not exceeding 5,000 Baht and with and additional fine not exceeding 200 Baht for

each day which passes until the law is complied with.
