Cardiac Event Blamed For Minivan Crash On Highway 36.

On Sunday Afternoon on Highway 36 in Nong Pla Lai Sub-District, Police Lieutenant Choosak from Banglamung Police Station was called to a fatal single-vehicle accident.

The vehicle involved in the crash was a Silver Toyota Compressor driven by Khun Somshai aged 53 who was killed when the minivan slammed into a pylon located 30 meters from the side of the road.

Inside the minivan was his American customer who he had picked up from the Suvanabumi Airport in Bangkok and was on his way to Trat Province with his Thai Girlfriend.

According to passengers inside the minivan, Khun Somshai clutched his chest and appeared to be in some distress.

He then passed out and the van left the road and hit the pylon.

Khun Somshai was declared dead in Hospital despite efforts to resuscitate him.
