Hey all,

1004Chopper1Sm.jpg

I had so much fun this past weekend at the Nonthaburi Bike Rally that I'm really looking forward to hitting another rally soon.

According to Ride Thailand Magazine there's an event taking place this coming weekend: "October 11Th Black Devil Group Chonburi"

That's all it says so I don't know exactly where it's going down and I've thus far been unable to find any info online (probably cuz I can't read Thai :o )

A friend in Chonburi says he knows of a group getting together near Bang Saen on Sunday, but perhaps this is a different event...

Anyone know anything about a rally this coming weekend in Chonburi? Who wants to go?

Hi Big BikeBkk. The bike event in Pattaya is on Saturday the 11th not Sunday. As far as i know it is in a soi of Sukhumvit called Soi Siam country club. We are going to Jomtien tomorrow for a short break so we will be there.

Like to get more info. Know a few Thai guys who are in this group but not sure whether I can contact them before the coming weekend.

If I know more, I'll post it here!

Thanks Jan!

I think that must be the event my friend was talking about, so perhaps the magazine just had a typo as far as the date is concerned.

Hope to see you there!

Took the VMAX for a little run to Bang Saen yest. Went to monkey mountain (Monkey hill more like).

We parked & walked into a newish seafood place. This was sitting in the driveway.

The owner asked me if I went to some bike meet-up on Saturday. I think he said it was at Diana Driving Range - Soi Diana.

Anyway sweet single cylinder - twin front DRUM brakes - single rear. I asked him if it was LOUD? He assured me it was. I believe him.

Not sure if anything went down on Saturday, but I stumbled across a very fun event on Sunday-

Chonburi Thailand Motorcycle Rally (Part 1) link

Hooked up with the Friend Highway Motorcycle Club to attend a very fun rally in the tiny Chonburi town of Pluak Daeng (literally, Red Termite Village)

The Friend Highway Club mostly ride vintage Yamaha SRs. I'd never even heard of this bike until recently, but I'm now a BIG fan of these vintage 400cc single cylinder thumpers! Check 'em out:

Cafe Racer style, added chrome and tricked out suspension:

Check out these pipes 1.gif

You can tell a lot of these guys get their custom pipes done by one master:

Some other remarkable bikes too! A classic 1953 Triumph 04.gif

Beautiful WWII era Harley Davidsons:

Enjoyed a beautiful sunset ride from Nong Ri to Pluak Daeng-

Here's the scene upon arrival, let's take a look around-

More pictures and videos to come in Part II!
