Taking Private Cars To Koh Chang.

I'm going to Koh Chang next week and I was wondering is there a boat service from mainland Thailand to Koh Chang that takes on private cars and if so where is the boat terminal; and how much is the cost for the car. Thanks.

There is hardly any other service than car ferry. Plies the straight every 20 mins or so.

The fare is peanuts, something like 100B for a car and passengers, I have a picture of the tickets somewhere.

Don't be surprised how many cars 1 ferry can take - I always thought I won't make it and will have to wait on next one. But no, the cars fit in, almost bumper to bumper.

The crossing takes about 25-30 minutes.

Yes there is. It's cheap and easy to find. Just make your way to Trat and you'll see signposts on the main highway.

I'll recommend Koh Chang ferry service. Much better and new ship and great service.
