Is there such thing in Thailand? What law says?

I paid an additional 1000 Baht to choose my own number for my bike's plate at the time of registration.

Yeah they offered me the same deal, but unfortunately I wasn't expecting it and couldn't decide on a 3 digit number of any significance at the time so I turned it down. I was also a bit concerned that it would delay getting the plate and give the BIB an extra couple of weeks to hassle me at road side. Nice idea though, and a lot cheaper than choosing a private plate in my home country.

What are the fines for having fake plates? ive heard its a REAL fine. So havent... but curious.

Too many variables.. Whats 'fake' and whats real.. Grey books, forged books, no books, where in the country, etc etc etc

But can be as bad as losing the bike completely.. Definitely not a small one..
