Seat Leon Cupra - 240 Horses Of Joy

Featured Replies

hi there,

I have lived in Thailand for 3.5 years and left last year. I had a lovely Civic 2.0, but sold it when I left. I am currently in Dubai and have just bought the Seat Leon Cupra - 2.0 Turbo, with 240 hp... the 6 speed manual is a bit of a pain for Dubai, but the smile I get from its acceleration outweighs a slightly sore left ankle... I find myself laughing like a looney whilst driving it - you can't beat that feeling, can you..?

However, I do wish to return to Thailand, within say, the next 2-3 years... and the thought of unleashing those horses on the (relatively) empty roads of northern Thailand keeps me awake at night in joyful anticipation!

What car is there, available in LOS, that is similar to my Cupra? Anything comes close to pure driving exhilaration that you know of in LOS? Assuming I still had the Cupra when I headed back to Thailand, would it be worth my while having it shipped across ( I never saw Seat's here, but maybe that's changed?)

Either way, happy motoring.

Jim

Well the closest match is the new MKV GTI. I have tuned it up to 260hp at the crank and the new S3 up to 300hp.
